Florida Ski Council Trip
Just when you think you have skied all the biggest, baddest ski resorts in North America, here is one you may not have even heard of….Mt Bachelor in Bend, Oregon. There are 3,700 acres of lift-accessible terrain located on a volcano! The enthusiasm of the Mountain Rep combined with this unique venue sealed the deal for the FSC to make this our destination in 2016. Being an FSC trip means clubs from around Florida and extra ‘party fun’ are a part of the trip.
How many of us can say we have ever even stepped foot on a volcano much less skied one? Skiers and boarders can go 360 degrees off the summit and find a wide variety of terrain including tree skiing at its best. For non-skiers, the town of Bend offers activities such as snow shoeing around Crater Lake, a Lava Cave tour or a sushi-making-sake-drinking afternoon. For everyone, Bend boasts having 14 world-class craft breweries. Grab an Atlas and Passport and sample them all! Don’t worry wine lovers, you are in central Oregon, home to several boutique wineries.
SCSTC is partnering with Orlando Ski Club on this trip to Mt. Bachelor. As a member of our club, you may join your friends from the Space Coast as well as the fine Orlando members for a week of unsurpassed fun on and off the slopes.
