We had a total of 26 members enjoy a great week in Whitefish, Montana. The group stayed at the fabulous Lodge at Whitefish Lake, some staying in the main lodge, some in condos and some at the Viking Lodge (large hotel style rooms). We had over 9” of fresh powder on Monday and had a blast skiing. Monday night was our Mexican themed FSC dinner and the food was delicious. Tuesday was crazy hat & boxer day, as well as the fun race and lunch at Ed & Mullys. SCSTC had a great turn out for the fun race and those that participated had lots of laughs. The lunch at Ed & Mullys was plentiful and yummy. On Wednesday 8 of us went out to Olney, MT for a fabulous outing with Dogsledding Adventures. We rode in dogsleds (2 in each sled) through a beautiful and peaceful National Park area. That afternoon we had a club Apres Ski in the stunning Firebrand Hotel lobby, a sister property of the Lodge. On Thursday we had another 2” of fresh powder. That evening was the “White” themed party and an Italian buffet. Debbie won “Best Female Costume” for her white swan costume and many of the group dressed up. There was a photo contest going on during the week and Debbie and Jori won best photo. There was lots to do on days off and for non-skiers, a tour & snowshoeing in Glacier National Park, sleigh rides, snowshoeing on the property behind the Viking Lodge, shopping in town, etc. The flights were uneventful and some even early! A great time was had by all and our club was complimented by Laurie Vest as being the “most courteous” club.
Thanks for traveling with Space Coast Ski and Travel Club. We hope to see you on a future trip.
