What an adventure. We started out in beautiful Copenhagen for 3 days where we explored the city, especially enjoying their pastries. Many of us explored Rosenborg Castle and took a canal ride. Next we took an overnight ferry and woke up in Oslo seeing the Fjords. In Oslo we enjoyed a city tour, which included the Vigeland Sculpture Park. In our free afternoon people enjoyed the top of the Opera House, a walk to the Akershus Fortress, the Norwegian Resistance Museum and more. On our way to our next stop, Lofthus, we stopped at the breathtaking Voringfossen Waterfall. Our hotel in Lofthus was in a gorgeous setting in the middle of the fjords. We had an outdoor heated pool and some were daring enough to put their feet in the glacier water. Some of the group enjoyed hiking, a Rigid Boat tour and a Cider Orchard Tour. Next we ventured into the heart of Norway, seeing breathtaking scenery such as the Sognefjord. We arrived in Flam where we took the Flam Mountain Railway past waterfalls and mountains. An express train took us to our scenic drive into Bergen. After a city tour in Bergen, most of the group rode up the Floien Funicular for beautiful views and some hiked down from the top. Next we had a flight to Stockholm where we finished our trip. In Stockholm we had a city tour and some explored the amazing Vasa Museum. Overall, we visited 5 cities, 3 countries, 1 airplane ride between countries, rode on 2 trains, 2 ferries and up a funicular. We had 22 in our group, 5 of whom were new to our club.
