With 35 from our club and over 270 overall from the 9 Florida Ski Council clubs, this trip was a popular choice and provided plenty to do for both the skiers and travelers. Canada was very welcoming, and this area has a bit of a European feel to it adding some uniqueness to this trip. The Canadian Rockies are so dramatic sort of like the Alps meaning there were spectacular views everywhere we went on both our sunny clear days and cloudy days. The direct flights and bus rides made getting here really easy.

The 2025 trip to Banff Lake Louise brought something new from our club's previous trips to this area. This time we stayed in the town of Banff at the new Peaks Hotel which was very centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and shopping. With a third of our group being non-skiers, this provided some convenient opportunities on top of the many winter activities including some unique to Banff such as the Banff Gondola, ice walks, and visiting the luxury Fairmont hotels.  For the skiers, there was the daily choice of which of the 3 resorts to go to. And a bonus with the location of our hotel meant we had direct connections going to and returning from any of these resorts. We also lucked out with not having the typical cold temps, it was actually a bit warm in town for a ski week.

Like many club trips, our trip was very social giving both skiers and non-skiers plenty of opportunities to hang out together. It was nice having large tables so we could sit with everyone and get to know them whether at breakfast, our mountain lunch, or the several group dinners. Everyone seems to enjoy the benefits of group travel.
