Since our ski trips sold out so quickly, Taos has been added to our destinations for 2020. It is an exciting time to be in Taos Ski Valley since being bought by a billionaire a few years back. The resort has been revitalized in every aspect from the mountain to the village. If you have not been there in a while, you will not recognize the place. There are 111 runs to keep you happily skiing or snowboarding as you explore the mountain. There will be a dedicated day trip to the town of Taos to shop, visit art galleries and take in the culture, history, and authentic New Mexican cuisine.
We are staying at the Snakedance Condos, located steps away from the main chairlift, a true ski-in, ski-out slope-side location. The condos have full kitchens, Satellite TV and DVD player, complimentary Wi-Fi and fireplace. There is a hot tub, ski lockers and laundry machines. On site is the Hondo Restaurant for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Or if you prefer, check out Bumps Market downstairs where you can find everything you need to make a quick bite to eat or gourmet meal in your condo.
On Tuesday, you will experience dinner at the home of Diane & Roger Mariani, Manager of the Snakedance Condos. The hospitality of the Mariani’s is unparalleled and always a highlight of anyone who has been to their beautiful adobe home.
Now, let’s talk Ski School. You’re a pretty good skier? We can all get better and use a little skiing tune-up. The Taos Ski School is famous for their Ski Week where you can improve the skills you wish; steeps, bumps, powder or perfecting technique on the groomed runs. A daily 2-hour morning lesson is $230 for the week. Yes, $230 total for 10 hours of lessons in a small group of the same skier lever as you! It is a game changer for anyone who signs up.
Lift Tickets are $77 per day and discounted ski rentals will be arranged.

Our best bet will be Southwest Airlines however, flights for March will not load until October. At that time, I will advise all who have signed up to book their flights. If you prefer, you can fly Delta or American into Albuquerque.
